Sumac is the ground, powdered fruit of a shrub that grows wild in the Mediterranean area.
It has a tart citrus, refreshing taste and a purple color. Sumac can be an excellent seasoning for marinating meat, poultry, fish and seafood for grilling, as well as for stews. It is also recommended for salads in which one of the ingredients is onion – sumac softens its taste and neutralizes the smell.
Ingredients: 100% dried sumac, ground.
Storage: in a dry and cool place.
