Inactive Yeast Flakes Orzeszek

Inactive Yeast Flakes are the edible, inactive form of yeast. They are made by using glucose from beet or cane molasses as a nutrient solution. After obtaining the appropriate volume, the yeast is deactivated using high temperature, then separated, washed, dried, and flaked. Thanks to the deactivation process, yeast flakes are completely safe for health – they do not cause yeast overgrowth in the body after their consumption. Inactive yeast flakes have a high content of protein, fiber, and B vitamins.
You can add them to various dishes, e.g., soups, creams, sauces, pates, but also sprinkle them on sandwiches, pasta, rice, groats and use them in breading as a healthy substitute for breadcrumbs. They have an aroma and a nutty flavor.
