Chickpeas Orzeszek

Chickpeas are legumes, one of the oldest consumption plants in the world, cultivated for thousands of years. In Arabic cuisine, chickpeas are used to prepare falafels or hummus, i.e. spread for bread, which are becoming more and more popular in Polish homes. You can also prepare a goulash pate, soup, or replace with it traditional potatoes.

Nutritional value in 100 g of the product:
Energy value 1717 kJ / 410 kcal;
Fat 6.0 g, of which saturated fatty acids 0.6 g;
Carbohydrates 63 g, including sugars 11 g;
Fiber 12 g;
Protein 20 g;
Salt 0.06 g.

Ingredients: 100% chickpeas seeds.

Preparation: rinse the chickpeas in a sieve and pour over them plenty of water as they become much larger during the soaking process – approximately 12 hours (or oivernight). Drain off the water and boil it in fresh water for about 1.5 hours. Season with salt to taste.

Store in a dry and cool place.
